Competition Details
Language
All application forms will only be accepted in ENGLISH since this will be the pitching language and the language of the training sessions.
Application Review
A jury of experts will carefully review all submitted applications and select contestants to participate in the preliminary round. The selection will be based on the quality of the business plan and pitch video submitted.
In-Person Participation
If you prefer the in-person experience and want to present your business in front of a live audience, you can do so by attending the corresponding JCI Event. Please note that in-person pitching requires a separate ticket for the event itself, which is not included in the CYE registration fee and it’s
mandatory for this format.
Online Participation
Pitch your idea comfortably from your location. We will provide detailed instructions and support for virtual pitching.
Competition Breakdown
Preliminary Round
In this stage, participants must submit a 30-60second Elevate Pitch video on Instagram Reels, tagging @CYE.Indonesia and @JCIJakartaOfficial. The pitch should clearly highlight their business idea, market potential, and innovative aspects. Following the video submission, participants must complete their registration via the official website to formalize their entry. The judging panel will evaluate submissions based on clarity, business feasibility, innovation, and alignment with sustainable impact. After deliberation, 20 general finalists and 6 student finalists will be selected to proceed to the next round.
Finalist Round
The finalist round will take place offline in Jakarta, where 20 general finalists and 6 student finalists will deliver a real-time, two-minute Elevate Pitch in front of judges. In this phase, PowerPoint slides will not be allowed, encouraging participants to deliver a concise, impactful, and engaging business pitch. Judges will assess the business viability, scalability, and presentation skills of each participant. After deliberation, 6 general finalists and 3 student finalists will proceed to the Grand Final Round..
Grand Final Round
In the final stage, the 6 general finalists and 3 student finalists will present a five-minute business pitch, providing a more detailed overview of their business model, market strategy, and potential for expansion. This will be followed by a five-minute Q&A session with judges, consisting of industry leaders, investors, and business experts.
